The Naval Engineering Education Center (NEEC) is an educational organization for the development of talented engineers who will become leaders of the Navy’s acquisition workforce. It is our goal to provide an unparalleled experience in terms of student, educator, professional, private, industrial and military cooperation. Students in the NEEC will participate in ongoing project teams that will be chosen both to train the students and show them multidisciplinary problems in current Naval systems engineering. The students are partnered with trained professionals in the military and private sector to guide them through their projects and offer insight to post-education opportunities.
The NEEC is composed of the U.S. Navy, The American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE), The Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers and 15 institutions of higher education all of which are based in the U.S.A.The NEEC leverages this collection of partnerships to share knowledge and resources in addition to creating a consistent learning experience regardless of where you obtain your Naval Engineering education.
MIT offers leading programs in Naval science and engineering research and education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including instruction to Naval officers in the Naval Construction & Engineering Program (2N).
